On September 28, 2026, Rice Brothers opened Rice Brothers Canada, Ltd. in downtown Calgary. It was the largest step the family-run EPC contractor had taken outside the United States, and the new company needed to look official from its first day. Plant owners, operators and procurement teams in Western Canada check a contractor’s website before they return a call, and Rice Brothers Canada had nothing to show them but a coming-soon page.
The first challenge was making a brand-new company read like the established contractor it is. Rice Brothers has decades of engineering, construction and maintenance work behind it in the US, but a buyer in Fort McMurray or Grande Prairie needs to see a Calgary address, a Canadian phone number, the people who will run the work and proof that it applies to their own plant.
The second challenge was reach. Rice Brothers Canada works in oil and gas, midstream, chemical, water, food and beverage, renewables, data centers and manufacturing, across Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia. Every one of those is a separate search, and a single “we serve Canada” page would rank for none of them.
The third was timing and ownership. The site had to launch within weeks of the office opening, match the Rice Brothers brand the US team already uses, and stay easy for the Calgary staff to update as the team, projects and job openings grow.
MasseyMedia designed a completely new website for rice-brothers.ca and built it on WordPress and Elementor Pro. We presented five homepage concepts, and Rice Brothers chose a direction built on its red brand color and Canadian Rockies photography. That design carries through every page, from the Calgary contact card in the homepage hero to the mountain photography behind each section.
The site has nearly 30 pages. Four service pages cover engineering and design, industrial construction, plant maintenance, and HVAC, refrigeration and plumbing, with a dedicated page for mission-critical data center work. Seven industry pages speak to oil and gas, midstream, chemical and petrochemical, water and wastewater, food and beverage, renewables and manufacturing. Five region pages cover Edmonton and the Industrial Heartland, Fort McMurray and the oil sands, Grande Prairie and the Montney, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia, so the company shows up where its clients’ plants actually are. All of the copy uses Canadian spelling.
The leadership team, all 14 profiles, runs from Advanced Custom Fields, so staff can add a person, swap a photo or edit a bio in the normal WordPress editor. Job openings work the same way and publish with job-posting structured data. The contact form asks whether a message is a new project, a career inquiry or feedback, so it reaches the right person, and a custom FAQ block writes FAQ schema automatically every time the team adds a question.
Before launch we ran a full technical SEO pass: a unique title and meta description on every page, General Contractor business schema, service schema on each service page, alt text on every image, and every image converted to WebP and served from the site’s own server. We also built out the Rice Brothers Canada Google Business Profile with eight categories and 35 services, each with its own description. The site went live on October 14, 2026, just over two weeks after the Calgary office opened.
Rice Brothers Canada, Ltd. is the Canadian company of Rice Brothers, a family-run engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor founded in Houston, Texas. Its office at 685 Centre Street South, Suite 2700 in Calgary opened on September 28, 2026, and serves industrial clients across Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and anywhere else in Canada.
The company self-performs every major craft discipline, which gives clients one source for engineering and design, capital projects, shutdowns and turnarounds, process piping, electrical and instrumentation, plant maintenance, and HVAC and ammonia refrigeration. Its crews work in oil and gas, midstream, chemical and petrochemical, water and wastewater, food and beverage, renewables, data centers and manufacturing, with safety first on every job. As a new company in a market that already knows its competitors, Rice Brothers Canada counts on its website to introduce the people and the track record behind the name.
