Founder & Owner
Hi, I'm Matt Massey.
I'm Matt Massey, and I started MasseyMedia in Lufkin, Texas in 1999. Most businesses in East Texas didn't have websites yet, and the ones that did usually had something generic thrown together by someone two states away. I saw the gap and set out to build something better, right here at home.
Over the last 25 years I've worked with Fortune 1000 companies and with local shops that have sat on the same corner for 40 years. The standard is the same for both. A good website gets you found, loads fast, and gives someone a reason to call you. A solid local SEO campaign puts you in front of people who are already looking for what you do. I've spent my career making those two work together.
MasseyMedia has grown well beyond web design. Google Business Profile management, custom WordPress development, and full digital marketing campaigns all got added as clients needed them. I still stay close to every project, because the details are where things tend to slip—and my name is on all of it.
My background is part of why I work the way I do. I earned degrees in Marketing and Business Management from the University of Utah, and I'm an Eagle Scout with two Eagle Palms. If you know scouting, you know that badge is really about finishing what you start. I've also served on the boards of Angelina Beautiful/Clean and Lufkin Community Partners, because this community is home, not just a market.
What hasn't changed in all that time is how I treat a project. I'd rather tell you the truth and lose the upsell than sell you something that won't move your business. That's the reason clients refer their friends, and it's the reason Matt Massey is still the name on the door.
The clients who've stayed with MasseyMedia for 10, 15, even 20 years didn't stick around for the logo. They stayed because the work keeps producing and they always know who's answering the phone.
