Liberty Bank is the only community-owned bank in Kitsap County. In 2026, it set out to launch a new website that reflected the personal, relationship-first way it does business. Three partners worked with the bank’s team to build it. Rachael Studebaker of Studebaker Design Co. designed the site, and she and Caroline Reis of Studio 7000, a female-owned digital marketing agency based in Seattle and Bainbridge Island, managed the project together, writing the content, titles, and meta descriptions and building most of the pages. MasseyMedia joined as the technical partner.
A bank’s website carries more weight than most. It sends customers to online banking and account opening, displays FDIC and Equal Housing Lender notices, and hosts the bank’s privacy statement, security policy, and CRA public file. Bank websites also attract scammers who copy them and spoof bank phone numbers to reach customers. Liberty Bank needed the technical side handled with the same care Rachael and Caroline gave the design and content.
The bank also needed the site to perform well in search. Liberty Bank competes with national chains for the same local searches, so we handled the technical SEO. Our job was to make sure search engines could read every page correctly and that the site loaded quickly for someone in Kitsap County comparing checking accounts, CD rates, or local lenders.
MasseyMedia built the remaining pages to match the approved layouts. The finished site covers the bank’s full business and personal lineup: checking, savings, lending, rates and CDs, cash management, Positive Pay fraud detection, remote deposit capture, merchant and courier services, digital wallets and safe deposit boxes. It also includes team profiles, an Investors Corner, careers, resources and news. The bank’s team can keep every page up to date without a developer.
On the technical SEO side, we added structured data (schema) to the site’s pages so search engines understand what each one covers. We also checked that the titles and meta descriptions Rachael and Caroline wrote were implemented correctly on every page. Every image on the site got descriptive alt text, which helps search visibility and accessibility for visitors who use screen readers. We then tuned the site for speed so pages load quickly on phones as well as desktops.
Finally, we audited the site’s security posture. The audit covered user accounts and access levels, software and update status, login protection, and the SSL and server configuration. We hardened the site based on the findings and gave the bank a written record of where it stands. MasseyMedia continues to handle the site’s ongoing updates.
Liberty Bank is an independently owned, FDIC-insured community bank headquartered at 20150 7th Ave NE in Poulsbo, Washington. Founded in 2009, it’s the only community-owned bank in Kitsap County, and it serves more than 2,500 consumers and businesses across the West Sound and Washington State.
The bank offers business and personal checking and savings, CDs, lending, cash management, Positive Pay fraud detection, remote deposit capture, merchant card services and a local courier service. People make its loan decisions locally, using judgment and context rather than an algorithm. Richard C. Darrow leads the bank as President and CEO. In 2025 Liberty Bank donated $20,000 to 22 local organizations, including Leadership Kitsap, Kingston Rotary and PAWS of Bainbridge Island.
